As the founder of Build Studios, Kaila is a 20-year veteran photographer and former photojournalist whose work has been featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show, DirectTV, and Nickelodeon. From large-scale video productions at LA's Smash Box studios to boutique photo editing houses, she's navigated nearly every aspect of the industry, successfully transitioning from photojournalism to weddings, boudoir, and portraits.

Merging her creative eye with fierce business acumen, Kaila transitioned her focus over the last decade to driving growth within marketing agencies and in-house roles. During her tenure as the marketing director for a national boudoir photography brand, she successfully scaled the business from million-dollar years to million-dollar months. She achieved this explosive growth by implementing intelligent funnels, stellar client communication systems, and strategic advertising.
Currently, Kaila continues to innovate and work with photographers through contract-based work and one-on-one coaching, consistently pushing the boundaries of building strong studios that stand the test of time.
